Hope every one had a Merry Christmas. We were lucky to have Stacie come out for the week. It is so great to have my lil sis here. She is so much fun. The kids were all nice to her and she was able to spend time with them all. Sadly one of her Christmas presents got left at Big Lots. I spent 1 1/2 weeks trying to retrieve it from them. I would always forget to call back after 6pm like they said. Point is, today (29th) I finally got it. So the big wait for her... A gag gift of NyQuil, hand sanitizer, tissue, etc because she is always getting sick. Poor Stacie.
This Christmas was a little different for us all. The kids haven't seen their dad since the end of Feb 2008. Raul was able to come visit for Christmas eve and day. They didn't leave his side. These smiles were permanently on every ones face. Every one was on their best behavior. It was tough knowing he'd be gone after Christmas and not knowing when they'd get to see him again.
We were able to go and visit my Grandma Silk and Aunt Lynda on her farm. The kids loved feeding the donkeys and the sheep. Plus jumping on the huge-mungas trampoline. The season makes you thankful for family you have and miss the family that has passed.
We also discovered this season Catalina's love of Christmas music. She dances to any thing but give that girl some Christmas tunes and she'll rock out any where. Hence the dance while eating french toast.
